Bulldog right fielder Brad Corley enjoyed a spectacular return to his home state last weekend, launching five home runs in three games to lead MSU to its first SEC series win of the year at the University of Kentucky. Six of his eight hits against Kentucky were extra-base hits.
Corley has belted eight of his team-leading and career-high 10 home runs in the past seven games, including back-to-back two-home run games in wins at Kentucky. His third home run of the weekend was a game-tying ninth inning solo blast that sparked State to a 10-8 comeback win at UK. HR No. 4 gave MSU a 1-0 lead in Sunday¹s series-clinching 12-3 finale. During the midweek Corley drove in five runs to help MSU record a two-game sweep at No. 11 Southern Miss.
UPDATE: Corley named National Player of the Week.
