Hire a RB coach and what do you expect?
Today’s Sun Herald states the obvious: MSU will continue to emphasize the ground game. Did anyone expect us to break out the Run-and-Shoot? Seriously, that’s a good thing. I’ve always thought Jackie Sherrill’s football philosophy was sound - control the line of scrimmage with a strong running attack, win the field position battle with a solid kicking game, and stop the run on defense. Sylvester Croom’s football outlook seems to be the same, if not in form then by function.
“We’ve got… guys that can run the football, and we’ve got a couple of guys coming in we recruited,” Croom said. “And we’ll recruit runners every year because we have to be able to run the football.”
