The Clarion-Ledger reports that three signees won’t enroll this year, while three upperclassmen won’t be joinng the team, including Antonio Hargro. The C-L reports Hargro has been dismissed for “unspecified team violations.” To paraphrase an old saying, “If an over-hyped, under-achieving wide receiver is cut, will anyone notice?”
On the good news front, former two-time JC All-American Brian Staley will join the team this summer as a Junior CB. Given the news that Corey Spells will be out for a while with an injury and Griffin and Fuller are red-shirting, this is like manna from heaven. Hopefully, Staley can step in like another former Georgia Military JC cornerback, Robert Bean.
