Hargro transfers to Grambling.
According to the Mississippi Press (Pascagoula, MS) the former State wide reciever will begin practicing today as a member of the Grambling Tigers. Because Grambling is a Division I-AA school, Hargro can play immediately (something he never did at State). Antonio’s mother isn’t happy with what happened during Hargro’s tenure at State:
“Antonio deserved more than what he ended up with at Mississippi State,” Laura Hargro said. “I’d like to see the tapes of those practice sessions. They tape every one of them. I’d like to see his performance in practices.
“Did he do his part? Did he do nothing? What was it that made it where he would practice all week, then hardly play in games? I’d like to know.”
