Tulane names starting QB for State game

Tulane head coach Chris Scelfo has tabbed LSU transfer Lester Ricard as starter for the State game. Ricard is listed as a 6′-5″ sophomore and was highly touted coming out of Amite, La. He saw the hand-writing on the LSU depth chart last fall and transfered to the Green Wave, who graduated senior J.P. Losman.
It looks like MSU vs. Tulane will feature a match-up of two talented, young, raw, athletic quarterbacks. Both Ricard and Connor represent the future of their respective programs. I give the nod to Ricard, because he’s been in Tulane’s system as QB since last August, while Sherrill was playing Connor out of position.
