Home games in Birmingham. Thanks Miss. voters.
Because of that stupid state flag and the NCAA’s stupid decision not hold tournaments in states with a stupid flag, MSU now has to hold it’s home games in the Coaches v. Cancer preseason tournament to Birmingham, Alabama. The Clarion-Ledger reports that State found a replacement for the Alaska tournament (Northwestern), allowing it to pull out and take Duke’s spot after it bowed out. This is a big-time opportunity for State’s basketball program; it’s a shame it has to happen 2 hours away from home. Memphis would seem to have been a better choice for a home-away-from-home, but U of Memphis is also hosting a round of C.v.C. Syracuse and Cal are also hosting.
