That’s what Tulane coaches hope Sylvester Croom doesn’t try to do. Tulane is woefully outmatched size-wise along the defensive front and thin depth-wise, mainly because of the departure of starting defensive lineman Bamm Mateen. One thing, however, we should keep in mind, last year we outweighed the Wave by even more, yet that weight led to State tiring out in the 4th quarter. We should be better conditioned this season, but don’t let our size advantage give you false hope. (See Liberty Bowl 1991)
