What is the significance of Jude’s departure?

As the Clarion-Ledger reports, back-up RB Jason Jude has left team. I don’t quite understand this move. Perhaps, Jude is sick of another losing season and has decided to move on. Or perhaps the promises Jackie Sherrill made him during recruiting aren’t being met by the current staff.

Whichever, it’s obvious that Croom isn’t about cowtow to players (or their nosey parents) regarding playing time. Jude missed an assignment, and because there was a viable replacement, he was sent to the bench. If Jude felt like playing up to Croom’s standards is too much of a burden, then he should move on. For every Nelson, Hampton and Jude who become disillusioned, Sylvester Croom is fostering a climate for players like Brian Anderson, Mario Bobo, and Omarr Conner to step up and play like warriors.
