Cry me a river
UK athletic director Mitch Barnhart whines about the harshness of Kentucky’s NCAA sanctions in comparison to State’s:
“For me to compare penalties is probably not appropriate, but what you hope is that the infractions committee’s review of the cases is consistent and fair,” Barnhart said. “For our kids and our coaching staff that remain behind, I feel like there was a lack of consistency or fairness relating to our case. But we’re going to fight through it.”
Puhlease. If you throw out the wild allegations that involved Sherrill directly, you’re left a bunch of $20 here, a hotel room there-type infractions. Hell, Kevin Fant’s Tiregate was listed on the intial infraction list and penalties were already leveled for that - a one game suspension. A lot were self-reported as well.
