because of a broken nose, it could be a GOOD thing. It will give back up forward Stemach or one of the freshmen (Rhodes?) some valuable playing time against what probably is inferior competition. That means the the team will be able to develop some chemistry playing without their superstar, without the pressure of playing a big-name opponent.
