Next fall, not one person directly involved in Mississippi State football - players and field coaches - will have experienced a winning season in Starkville. Only two non-field staff - Jim Tompkins (LB coach during the Sherrill era), Coordinator of Player Relations and Rockey Felker (1986),
Coordinator of Football Operations - have won at State.

God only knows when the last time that happened.
