Here’s a comprehensive preview of tomorrow’s tilt.
Nutt on MSU:
“They’re playing with a lot of confidence and they’re doing a good job of moving the ball,” Nutt said. “Those two tailbacks are very scary and we spent a lot of time on their inside runs. The thing that they’ve done such a good job of [...]

It’s time to move on, people. Seriously, this loss isn’t that big of deal. We all know we’re not full strength and we will only get better once the real Lawrence Roberts comes on line. It is disappointed not to have played better against the zone. Ironically, State had a better [...]

I love Mississippi State, but I at least visited a couple times before deciding I would attend. Not this guy! Venice, CA, linebacker Jimmy Miller decided he like what he heard and committed before making a visit:
“I got a good vibe from coach (Guy) Holliday and coach Brick Haley the linebacker coach,” Miller [...]

The Sun Herald’s Jim Mashek predicts a win over Arkansas this weekend. I thought this guy hated State. He even has us ranked ahead of OM, UK and Vandy in the SEC.
I know, I know. Mashek hated Sherrill, not State. Well, Sherrill’s gone and so is the stink of death that [...]

It could’ve happened.
It’s been a strange journey to basketball stardom for Roberts.
He never thought he’d play basketball after that game. Instead, he moved on and replaced the first sport he ever played with tennis. He took lessons from a private coach and worked on the sport he thought was his calling. Two years after [...]

Along with fellow SEC bottom feeders Mississippi, UK and Vandy, State has been a drag on the SEC’s conference ranking. Because of that, some think Auburn’s schedule is un worthy of an Orange Bowl berth.
The SEC has four of the worst teams in BCS-affiliated conferences - Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Mississippi and Mississippi State. [...]

According to the MSU Athletics webpage he is. This is surely a top 10 recruiting class. Hopefully we aren’t scrambling this Summer to fill voids left by Ellis and/or Goodridge’s departure to the NBA.

Tommy Kelly leads the Oakland Raiders in sacks. And by all accounts, TK is a model citizen and pro ball player.
Me thinks playing next to Warren Sapp and Ted Washington will make any DE look good.

Bulldogblitz.com is reporting that former MSU offensive lineman Brad Weathers may be returning to his team. Brad’s mother says:
“He had never played for coach Croom and he had never seen him, but he went and pulled the film and they looked at him and he talked to coach Croom yesterday or the day before. [...]

With the signing of the Delk twins and the likely signing today of two the nation’s premier high schoolers, Vernon Goodridge and Monta Ellis, MSU’s latest recruiting class is expected to be tops in the SEC and top 10 nationally. Normally, I don’t buy into recruiting hype. We’ve seen how top 25 recruiting [...]

because of a broken nose, it could be a GOOD thing. It will give back up forward Stemach or one of the freshmen (Rhodes?) some valuable playing time against what probably is inferior competition. That means the the team will be able to develop some chemistry playing without their superstar, without the pressure [...]

SEC Preview Capsule:
MISSISSIPPI STATE: Put simply, forward Lawrence Roberts is one of the top five players in the nation. The Bulldogs went 26-4 a year ago, and no one was more responsible for that success than Roberts. He averaged 16.9 ppg and 10.1 ppg while shooting 51.9 percent from the floor. Although not a big-time [...]

CBSsportline.com’s Dennis Dodd takes a look at Croom Bowl I. I don’t understand this quote:
It’s the nation’s No. 1 defense against the No. 1 grudge. If Mississippi State wins, Crooms paves the way for his return in some small way. It might never happen, but don’t doubt for a second that this is the [...]
