Eustachy obviously needs the game with the “Big 2″ teams in the state more than they need to play him.
However, the point is still the same.
If MSU and and Ole Miss fail to even call back Eustachy, it will continue to prove they don’t have the guts to play in-state teams.
“We as coaches owe that to the fans in this state and I would like to see it happen,” Eustachy said. “But I am not getting any cooperation from the other schools. I, for one, have never dodged anything in my life.”
Trust me Larry, Ole Miss and State will dodge you as long as they can.
I hope we do. It’s not our responsibilty to build USM’s pathetic basketball program, it’s Eustachy’s. Just like with football, the heat on this issue seems to only come from the USM camp and the state media. The media wants it because it gives them something to talk about, and USM wants it to put money in their coffers. Why should we should we create another potential rivalry while playing a regular SEC schedule is bad enough? No. Pound sand, Larry.
