MSU football legend Hoyle Granger

Hoyle Granger will be inducted in the Louisiana Sports Writers Hall of Fame:
Granger, a product of Oberlin, was an All-AFL fullback for the Houston Oilers in 1968 and played in the 1968 and 1969 AFL All-Star Games. He ranks as the Oilers No. 2 all-time rusher with 3,514 yards, trailing only Earl Campbell and ranking ahead of Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame greats Billy Cannon and Charlie Tolar. A prep All-American at Oberlin after scoring 454 career points as a running back, he was a three-time All-SEC fullback at Mississippi State.
