According to NWAnews.com MSU is hitting Arkansas pretty hard this recruiting season:
POCAHONTAS TACKLE WAITING Pocahontas offensive tackle Jim Hart, 6-7, 304, 5.2, has offers from Mississippi State and Arkansas State. He attended the first Junior Day at Arkansas and said an Arkansas coach called him Wednesday night. “Mississippi State called me and has offered a scholarship,” Hart said. “I missed the call from Arkansas.”….In addition to attending the Junior Day at Arkansas, Hart went to Ole Miss on an unofficial visit and was at Mississippi State’s Junior Day.
HAZEN STANDOUT LIKES MSU Hazen linebacker Nathan Campbell, 6-3, 215, 4.63, has scholarship offers from Mississippi State and Arkansas State and said the Bulldogs are his leader at this time.” Mississippi State has called me and they have offered, “Campbell said.” I would say they are No. 1. “Campbell has a 3.7 grade-point average and has scored 20 on the ACT. As a junior playing linebacker and quarterback, Campbell had 110 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries, 500 yards rushing, 800 yards passing and 13 touchdowns. Campbell has been focusing on baseball lately, with Hazen opening play Saturday at the Class A state tournament in Harrison. Hazen fell to Southside Bee Branch in the regional final Wednesday night.
