Croom visits Hattiesburg
The Hattiesburg American reports Coach Croom addressed a crowd of 225 State fans. As one would guess, he was asked whether he supported playing USM.
“I haven’t thought about it,” Croom said. “I’ve got to worry about all these other games we’ve got to play.”
When asked if he’d be open to the idea of the matchup, Croom simply said, “I don’t make the schedule.”
That’s a pretty diplomatic answer. Seriously, Croom has enough on his plate turning the program around without the pressure of another instant rival.
