MSU signee Derek Pegues
The Mobile Register has an excellent story on MSU signee Derek Pegues. Pegues, who will likely be a #2 cornerback for State the minute he reports, will line up in the Miss-Alabama All-Star game as a tailback.
“Coach (Ricky) Woods always said I was a running back, and in his offense a quarterback isn’t nothing but a running back anyway,” said Pegues, who rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns in the Tigers’ 39-21 victory over Ocean Springs in the Class 5A state title game.
