State Returns To Site Of Memorable Win
The Shreveport Times takes a look back at the last time Mississippi State played in the Independence Bowl.
Almost five years ago, the Bulldogs came to Shreveport and delivered perhaps the most memorable Independence Bowl performance in a 43-41 overtime victory over Texas A&M in a driving snowstorm that led to the game’s being tabbed “The Snow Bowl.”
It is a game that became an ESPN Instant Classic and grows in lore with each year that passes.
