Coach Croom has signed a contract extension that will carry him through the 2009 season. His original 4 year contract was signed in 2003. The Clarion-Ledger is reporting that MSU Defensive Coordinator Ellis Johnson has interviewed with Maryland for the same position.
There has been no official word from the Athletics office as to whether Johnson is leaving or staying, but for now he is still the DC.
