Dontae Walker Denied Release
An appeals court has denied the release of former MSU football player Dontae Walker while he appeals a 2005 drug conviction.
Walker was convicted in 2005 on charges of possession of more than an ounce of marijuana and possession of more than an ounce of crack cocaine. Walker was sentenced to three years in prison with a $1,000 fine for the marijuana charge and 22 years behind bars, also with a $1,000 fine, for the cocaine charge.
