First Two Games of 2006 To Be Televised

Mississippi State has announced that the first two games of the 2006 football season will be televised. The season-opener against South Carolina on August 31 will televised by ESPN as part of its Thursday night package. It will also be the first televised college football game of the 2006 season. Kick-off for that game is set for 7 p.m. central.

The following weekend, MSU will face Auburn in Starkville. That game has been selected by Lincoln Financial Sports (formerly Jefferson-Pilot) and will kick-off at 11:30 a.m. central.

Both of these games provide an opportunity for MSU football to make a big statement about the future of the program.
