Jerious Norwood Adapting Well In Atlanta
This bit of text from the Falcons Blog at the AJC gives some interesting insight into what can be expected of Jerious Norwood when the Falcons take the field this fall.
From everything I’ve been told, he’s going to play more than just on special teams. In fact, he could push T.J. Duckett to be the No. 2 tailback. He’s going to be given a lot of carries in the first few preseason games and if he displays the traits that have coaches so excited, I could see him getting Duckett’s carries outside of short-yardage situations. What has impressed coaches the most is how quickly he’s picked up the offense, particularly pass-blocking schemes, which are often the most difficult adjustments a running back has to make.
