Norwood still battling for backup RB spot
The AJC is reporting that the competition between rookie Jerious Norwood and T.J. Duckett for the backup running back spot remains tight.
Duckett, who is in the last year of his contract and has been mentioned in trade talks, has run with authority and consistency, but Norwood has breakaway speed and a running style that is tailor-made for the Falcons offense, Mora said.
I am thinking that a final decision will be made sometime after the pre-season games. That would give Norwood some experience against an NFL defense that isn’t on the same team, and will also let Mora and company evaluate him in-game.
