Omarr Conner Back At Quarterback
With Mike Henig suffering a broken collar bone against South Carolina, an injury that will sideline him for at least 6 weeks, Omarr Conner has been moved back to the quarterback position, taking snaps with the offense this week in practice. Mississippi State faces 4th-ranked Auburn this weekend in Starkville.
In addition to Conner moving back under center, there will be other changes made in the offense.
- Brian Anderson will start at right guard instead of left tackle, where he opened against South Carolina.
- J.D. Hamilton assumes the starting role at left tackle, where he played extensively in State’s Thursday night opener.
- Craig Jenkins will play right tackle for the Bulldogs, while Croom calls Calvin Wilson his “swing guy,” meaning he could play at either tackle position if needed.
Anthony Dixon, who rushed for 64 yards on 14 carries last week will also see more playing time against Auburn.
