Anthony Dixon Will Miss Auburn Game
Freshman running back Anthony Dixon will have to sit out the game against Auburn this weekend after suffering an injury in practice. He broke the pinky finger on his left hand just below the knuckle. He is scheduled to have surgery to place pins in the finger this week.
This moves sophomore Brandon Thornton back to the starting slot. Many are hoping that Christian Ducre, who transferred from Tulane and received the all-clear from the NCAA to play this past weekend, will be able to help out at running back as well.
In the season opener against South Carolina, Dixon rushed for 64 yards on 14 carries. Thornton rushed for 25 yards on 14 carries.
