Keith Mills Dismissed From Team
Sports Illustrated is reporting that Mississippi State has dismissed Freshman wide receiver Keith Mills from the team following an arrest on charges of burglary and forgery. He will also face disciplinary action from the University.
Mills is a freshman from Alexandria, La., and has not seen any playing time this year.
“I have permanently dismissed Keith Mills from the football team,” coach Sylvester Croom said in the statement. “Although I understand that young people make mistakes, Keith’s actions were completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our program.”
MSU President Robert H. Foglesong said the university expects all MSU students to conduct themselves appropriately.
“We live in a small community, and we won’t tolerate infringing on the rights of another,” he said. “We don’t want to just talk that talk, but we want our students to know we will walk the walk as well. We take this seriously.”
