State, Clemson fans shoot for NCAA Super Regional Attendance Record
The opening game of the 2007 NCAA Starkville Super Regional drew 12,620 fans to Dudy Noble Field. Although that is a far cry from the almost 15,000 fans that watched the MSU/Floriday game on April 22, 1989, it could be a new record for the Super Regional, since it is a fairly new addition to the NCAA Tournament. It is the largest post-season gathering in the rich history of Dudy Noble Field. The attendance also marked the seventh largest crowd in Dudy Noble Field history.
I can’t seem to find any attendance stats on NCAA Super Regionals. If anyone has any info, leave a comment.
