Wyn Diggs Turns Pro
The MSU Athletics website is reporting that senior catcher Wyn Diggs is the 4th member of the 2007 College World Series team to sign a pro contract.
Diggs, who hit .316 in 2007 and was the primary backup behind the dish to 2007 Johnny Bench Award winner Edward Easley, signed July 19 with the San Angelo (Texas) Colts of United League Baseball, a six-team independent league based in Texas and Louisiana.
Diggs joins teammates Jeffrey Rea, Edward Easley, and Josh Johnson who also launched their professional careers this summer.
