Maroon and White Baseball Game Set
The Mississippi State Maroon/White Baseball game is set for next Saturday, October 5. It gives fans in town for the homecoming festivities a chance to get a preview of the 2008 Diamond Dawgs.
The game is scheduled Friday, October 5 at Dudy Noble Field with a 4 p.m. start and is one of several scheduled events surrounding MSU’s on-going six-week fall baseball practice.
Mississippi State’s fall baseball drills wrap up Oct. 12-17 with the fall practice-ending “Banana Split Series”. The payoff for members of the winning team in the series is a banana split courtesy of the players from the losing squad.
State’s baseball support group, the MSU Dugout Club, is set to host its annual fall dinner with the baseball team. Friday, Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Members of the club will gather in the Griffis Board Room adjacent to the Palmeiro Center immediately following the opening game of the “Banana Split Series” for the evening meal.
All of Mississippi State’s fall practices and games are open to the public with no charge for admission.
