Mississippi State Heading To Liberty Bowl
Although it has not officially been announced, it looks like Mississippi State is set to play the University of Central Florida (UCF) in the Autozone Liberty Bowl in Memphis on Saturday, December 29th.
Mississippi State will stream the bowl announcement free at 5:30 (CT) via its Maroon To The Max service. While no official announcement has come from the athletic department, Kyle Veazy quoted Larry Templeton on his blog as saying “the tea leaves are lined up for us to go to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. But we cannot confirm those decisions until tomorrow because we have to wait on the BCS to determine the fate of Georgia.”
The Liberty Bowl website appears to have jumped the gun a bit by posting the UCF vs. MSU matchup.
Tickets for the Liberty Bowl range from $35 to $60 from the Liberty Bowl website. There are also some Liberty Bowl Tickets available on many of the ticket sites around the web.
