Les Koenning, Jr., a veteran of more than 25 years coaching on the collegiate level including a previous stop at Mississippi State, has been named to head coach Dan Mullen’s coaching staff, pending approval by the Board of Trustees, Institutions of Higher Learning.

The 2008 Super Bulldog Weekend was originally scheduled for the first weekend in April, the 3-5. The Diamond Dogs have a series at home against Auburn that weekend. It has been resheduled to April 17-19 to coincide with the first spring football game under Coach Dan Mullen.

A Florence, AL paper is reporting that head coach Mark Hudspeth will resign to join Dan Mullen’s staff at Mississippi State.

Contract is 4 years at $1.2 million a year.
It is undecided whether he will stay with Florida through the National Championship game.
He plans to implement the spread offense and taylor the offense to the talent and players at Mississippi State.

Mullen will be officially introduced at a press event tomorrow, December 11 on campus.
