Anthony Dixon named SEC Offensive Player of the Week
Junior RB Anthony Dixon was named the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week today.
- Dixon rushed for a career-high 179 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown and also caught five passes for 32 yards and two touchdowns in Mississippi State’s 31-28 win against Arkansas.
- It was Dixon’s ninth career 100-yard rushing game and also the first time he has had two receiving TDs in the same game.
- His touchdown run of 63 yards is his longest TD run and his second longest of the season.
- He scored three TDs in a game for the second time this season and the fourth time in his career.
- Dixon’s 34 career touchdowns is a school record.
