I had heard some talk of this from those attending the recent baseball camp at State. Steve Irvine of The Birmingham News is reporting that Ron Polk has joined UAB as a volunteer assistant coach. Brian Shoop, the current UAB Headcoach is a former assistant of Polk’s at Mississippi State in the 80′s.
