ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released his latest Bracketology update and has Mississippi State playing a 1st round game against Baylor in an 8 vs. 9 matchup in the South Region, playing in Little Rock. The significance of this is that the winner of an MSU/Baylor matchup would likely go on to play Memphis.

The latest men’s basketball polls have been released today, and Mississippi State makes an appearance at #25 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. We are 1 out of the AP poll (#26) with 112 votes. This tells me that people are starting to pay attention to the Bulldogs but aren’t sold on the team yet.

Here is a video feature of Varnado’s triple-double versus Kentucky at The Hump last night. This is only the 3rd triple-double in school history and helped the Bulldogs to their second straight win over Kentucky. This is only the second time in school history that the Bulldogs have back-to-back wins over Kentucky.
