With the departure of Ellis Johnson to Arkansas, names are already starting to fly about who Croom will get as a replacement. Several names that have popped up are Jon Tenuta of Georgia Tech and Ron English of Michigan.
Of the names that have been mentioned so far, I think the job is Brick Haley’s to [...]

When the Atlanta Falcons face off against the Green Bay Packers this weekend, expect to see a lot more of Jerious Norwood. With the Falcons giving starting back Warrick Dunn the day off, they will start T.J. Duckett and then slowly transition to Jerious near the half, with him getting expensive playing time.
“We’re going [...]

A great article from yesterday’s AP pool. This one was posted on al.com’s “Sports Flash”. I had heard about Jerious taking a big hit from Crocker, and that he left because he wasn’t feeling well. Good to see that he learned from the hit on the next go round.
Norwood, listed at 5-foot-11 and 204 pounds, [...]

Via the AJC Faclons Blog:
The Falcons just went through some 11 vs. 11 drills, and they were pretty high tempo. Rookie RB Jerious Norwood made some smooth moves through the No. 2 defense, causing a radio type to coo:
“He’s a gliiiiiiiiider!”
And Norwood is. Very, very smooth. He looks terrific.
Great to see that J-Rock is doing [...]

Former Mississippi State player Justin Jenkins signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2004. Since then, he has been confined to the practice squad, thanks in some part to a torn ACL.
It was T.O.’s book that has helped put Justin in a little bit of a spotlight lately. In the [...]

FoxSports has released their running back ranking for each team in the NFL, and they are looking for Jerious Norwood to become the main backup for Warrick Dunn this year.

This bit of text from the Falcons Blog at the AJC gives some interesting insight into what can be expected of Jerious Norwood when the Falcons take the field this fall.
From everything I’ve been told, he’s going to play more than just on special teams. In fact, he could push T.J. Duckett to be the [...]
