MSU beatwriter Kyle Veazy has a great profile of starting fullback Jeremy Jones. Jones started out at LSU and transferred to State in lieu of grayshirt status from LSU.

The Mississippi State Ticket Office has announced that season ticket sales have surpassed those of 2006. With just under a week until the season opener against LSU on August 30, the ticket office has processed more than 30,442 ticket orders, up from the 2006 total of 30,365.

Davis, a quarterback at Salem High School in Conyer, GA, is expected to play at wide receiver when he gets to college. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that he has committed to play for the Bulldogs and Coach Croom.
