Chris Petersen To Mississippi State Rumors Heat Up
The interweb rumor mills are buzzing today with “confirmation” that Boise State’s Chris Petersen is in serious negotiations to become the next head coach at Mississippi State. Some have even gone as far as to say it is a done deal. One of those sites pushing this out there is Sparty & Friends. This is the same site that broke the Lane Kiffin to Tennessee rumor long before anyone else. FootballRumorMill.com is also talking about it.
Most are saying that IF it is a done deal, it will be announced after the SECC game, most likely Monday sometime.
I am going to be patient before I go that far out on a limb, but when you have rumors being spread by more than just folks on the message boards, you have to pay attention to them.
Combine this rumor with the “Houston Nutt To Auburn” rumors and this could be a very interesting weekend outside of the big game in Atlanta.
