Comcast To Carry MSU Games On Tape Delay
Via today’s Templeton Talks
I am excited to announce today that the Mississippi State University athletic program has entered into an agreement with Comcast Sports to televise on a tape-delay basis all 12 Bulldog football games in 2006. The games will air each Sunday at 8:30 p.m. CT following every MSU game. We are excited about this opportunity for additional exposure for Coach Croom and our football team.
Cable systems in Corinth, Tupelo, West Point, Meridian, Hattiesburg and Laurel, in addition to other locations throughout the southeast, currently carry Comcast programming. Comcast, also known as CSS (Cable Sports Southeast), is scheduled to begin servicing the Jackson area on Sept. 1 and the Memphis area on Oct. 1. The Georgia-based cable network dominates a great portion of the southeast and is acquiring additional affiliates westward. In addition to the tape-delay game rebroadcasts, CSS will also carry all of our coaches’ shows.
This is great news indeed.
