Croom Named as Rivals SEC Coach of the Year, Pegues All-SEC
Rivals.com has released their All-SEC teams and their pick for SEC Coach of the Year. Derek Pegues makes the All-SEC First Team as free safety. Here is what Rivals had to say about their pick:
Pegues has collected 46 tackles and three INTs while continually coming through for the Bulldogs in big situations. Pegues scored on a 20-yard interception return in an upset of Auburn and had a game-tying 75-yard punt return in a come-from-behind win over Ole Miss.
Coach Sylvester Croom earned their nod for SEC Coach of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to a 7-5 record and bowl eligibility for the first time since 2000.
