Game Week Linkage
Here are some links that showed up in my inbox this morning about our upcoming season opener in Ruston against Louisana Tech.
Ron Higgins at the Commercial Appeal talks about the mystery foe awaiting us in the form of transfer QB Taylor Bennett. Sure, Taylor threw for over 2,100 yards at Georgia Tech last year, but how does he fit into the system over in Ruston? Does he have receivers to throw to? I think we will see a big rushing attack from the returning Bulldog (LaTech) backfield, led by Patrick Jackson.
Chris Low at the ESPN SEC Blog basically talks over the same points, also mentioning the setbacks our team has experienced, including a 1-game suspension for Pegues and a foot infection that may keep Derek Sherrod sidelined this weekend.
T. Kyle King over at DawgSports (UGA) think that LaTech may pull the upset this weekend, citing our past season and road opener losses, as well as the face that Dooley’s Dogs put up big points against Hawaii and Boise State. I tend to disagree, since the WAC is known for high-flying offenses with little-to-no defense.
