Holy Crap.
I found this little tidbit in Dennis Dodd’s column about Coach Croom:
An impending NCAA probation has become a part of Croom’s job security. His four-year contract won’t start until after the probation is concluded.
Dang. I had no idea. Given that state contracts can only be four years, this must be a verbal contract – just as legally binding. Conceivably, this could be an EIGHT year contract. Now that’s what I call commitment!
