The Montgomery Advertiser tells us that RB Roy Upchurch and WR Earl Alexander are likely to miss the game this weekend.
The Starkville Daily News tells us that the Bulldogs aren’t getting caught up in recent victories over the Tide as they prepare for this weekend’s game.
Brad Locke tells us that Croom is planning to make changes on the offensive line, possibly moving Center J.C. Brignone to Guard and getting some playing time for D.J. Looney.
Kyle Veazey has a little more info on the OL switcheroo in his Tuesday night camp:
State has been practicing recently with J.C. Brignone, the season’s starter at center, working with the first string at left guard in place of Anthony Strauder, now listed No. 2 on the depth chart.
Previously a backup, D.J. Looney is listed as the No. 1 center — with Brignone backing him up.
The Commercial Appeal has a story about the 1980 MSU/Bama game when the Tide was #1 and lost. Croom was on the Alabama sideline for that game as an assistant.
