Mississippi State – LSU Post Game
Well, at least we weren’t completely killed. I think most of us knew going into this game that we weren’t going to win. It is, after all, LSU. They have always had our number. At least we kept the score respectable.
in the second half, the offense really started to show some promise – completing passes, moving the ball, keeping the chains moving and the defense off the field. I can only imagine what would have happened if Ducre had caught that pass that slipped through his hands.
Tyson Lee looked good under center. He ran the offense well and didn’t make to many stupid plays. Robert Elliot’s injury looked troubling, especially the way he was dragging his leg as they helped him off the field. Ducre really stepped up in this game, and I think the friendly competition between him and Dixon really help them feed off each other. Dixon had a few runs where he should have bounced outside for more yardage instead of trying for the inside lane only to have it collapse.
We have a week off to get ready for Vandy at home. Vandy had this week off and will face Auburn in Nashville next weekend. Vandy is clearly no pushover so we will need to play at our best to pull out the win over the Commodores.
Since we have next week off, blogging may be lighter than usual this week unless there is some big news that needs to be shared.
