Mississippi State vs. Missouri Basketball Game Time Changed
MSU vs. Mizzou game moved to December 30th at 12:30 pm CT
As soon as the Bulldogs found out that they were going to the Liberty Bowl on December 29th, the athletic department began scrambling to get either the location or game time (or both) of the men’s basketball game against Mizzou changed.
It didn’t make sense to have it in Starkville while the majority of State fans would either be in Memphis for the bowl game or at home watching the bowl game. One of the early ideas tossed around was to move the game to the Memphis area and schedule it for Saturday night, allowing fans to attend the bowl game, then just head on over to where the basketball game was. That apparently didn’t work out.
Now, the game has been moved to Sunday, December 30, in Starkville, at 12:30. The game will also be televised by SportsSouth. It will be part of a double-header, with the Lady Bulldogs hosting Louisiana-Lafayette at 3:30.
A 2-for-1 general admission ticket will be available for the Sunday twinbill. In addition, current Lady Bulldog basketball season ticket holders will be admitted to the men’s game (general admission seating only) by showing their season tickets at the gates. Men’s basketball ticket holders may remain in the arena for the women’s game. For more information, fans should contact the MSU Athletic Ticket Office at 1-888-GO-DAWGS or 662-325-2600.
