MSU and the NCAA Tournament – Bracketology
ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released his latest Bracketology update and has Mississippi State playing a 1st round game against Baylor in an 8 vs. 9 matchup in the South Region, playing in Little Rock. The significance of this is that the winner of an MSU/Baylor matchup would likely go on to play Memphis.
I am sure the brackets will continue to evolve over the next few weeks as the regular season wraps up. We will keep an eye on it through the start of the NCAA tournament. Aside from home games against Auburn and LSU, where MSU is favored, we have road games against Vanderbilt and Florida. Those two games will make or break our place in the NCAA Tournament. Of course, winning the SEC tournament couldn’t hurt either.
