Mullen Announces Coaching Assignments
As he has said all along, Mullen has officially announced assignments for the coaching staff now that signing day is behind us.
Here is how they break down:
Offense:
Les Koenning - Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks
Mark Hudspeth- Passing game coordinator/receivers
John Hevesy - Running game coordinator/offensive line
Greg Knox - Running backs
Defense:
Carl Torbush - Defensive coordinator/linebackers
David Turner - Defensive line
Melvin Smith - Cornerbacks/nickelbacks
Tony Hughes - Safeties/recruiting coordinator
Scott Sallach - Tight ends
Adminsitrative:
Reed Stringer - Director of recruiting operations
Rockey Felker - Director of player personnel/high school relations
Jody Wright - Coordinator of football operations
I like the reassignment of Reed Stringer. It was clear he was not a good special teams coach at all, but he is a great recruiter. I think he was the lead contact on most of the signees in our class this year.
