Woody McCorvey Hired By South Carolina
Woody McCorvey, who has been the offensive coordinator at MSU for the past 5 years, has been hired by South Carolina to coach wide receivers for Steve Spurier. This is being reported by GoGamecocks.com.
This is not McCorvey’s first stint at South Carolina. He was the receivers coach at USC in 1998 during Brad Scott’s final season in Columbia. In his 19 years as a coach, McCorvey has worked at 4 seperate SEC schools.
Former MSU defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson is also on the Gamecock staff.
